Have faith in God.

Sometimes we hear it argued that it does not matter what a man believes, so long as he believes something. But what we believe in shapes our character and determines destiny, so it makes a great deal of difference what we fix our faith on. A gangster has his faith. He believes that he should live by plundering others of their possessions. His belief, however, makes him a menace to society.
Our Lord gives us the perfect object of faith, an object gracing life with His own beauty. Have faith in God. Have faith in—! What follows “in” either enriches or impoverishes life.
