Ye receive not our witness.

The ever-present tragedy in John’s gospel is the rejection of Jesus by those He had come to bless. “His own received him not” (John 1:11). Is your loyal witness being spurned? Take courage! Here are the words of “the faithful and true witness” (Revelation 3:14): “If I have told you of earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?” (John 3:12). Not always do those who listen to our earnest appeal, respond and believe. But how men react to our witness is not our responsibility. Our sacred task is to keep on witnessing.
