Twenty-Eighth Week: The Eagle Face

A great eagle with great wings.
—Ezekiel 17:3, 7

Kings and kingdoms were symbolized by the eagle as Ezekiel’s parable proves. The standards of the Roman army were eagles, and the same insignia is recognized by modern nations, to wit, America. The record of history, however, is that proud, imperial nations with eagle-like qualifies have a habit of disappearing. And masterful nations, presently gorging themselves with the spoil of smaller nations, as an eagle with carrion, will likewise perish. But the kingdom of the Lord endures forever.
