Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples.
—John 18:2
A lovely garden makes a blessed prayer chamber. Surrounded with fragrant flowers, one draws near to God. Within the garden of Gethsemane was a sacred spot, so dear to Christ, to which He often retired with His own. And, as we read, Judas knew the place, and in his heartlessness made such a hallowed sanctuary the scene of his horrible surrender of Christ to His foes. Do you love to go into the garden of prayer with your Lord? Resorting thither with Him? Whether it be in a garden or a garret, are you truly one with the interceding Lord?
