Pages of Godlight Podcast

Welcome to the Pages of GodLight podcast where you can get to know Whitaker authors, the books they wrote, and the books they love, hosted by Whitaker House Publisher, Christine Whitaker.

Have you ever seen sunlight break through a patch of trees and create an alighted circle of brightness that seems almost otherworldly? Like a sacred space, so illuminated the world seems to glow? C.S. Lewis described these as "patches of GodLight."

Embracing this vision, Christine Whitaker set out to create a space where listeners could dwell in that light with a sense of awe and discovery, inspired by the page but engaged in conversation. She writes, "I have been a book lover ever since I learned to read, and when I pick up a book, over and over, I see glimmers of meaning within the pages that stop me in my tracks and make me pause and take in what I've come upon, just like those spots of brilliant light."

Our hope is that, in these conversations, as we introduce authors and creators and talk through the pages of books, our readers will stumble upon bright spots of word, thought, and carefully delivered messages that open doors to experience anew the Light of God that is all around us and waiting to be found.
