Hablemos

Hablemos es una palabra de invitación para abordar un tema que puede determinar la calidad de todas las relaciones:  de parejas, padres e hijos, amigos, laborales.  Este libro lleva el poderoso mensaje del temor y la resistencia que genera tener conversaciones difíciles, especialmente con las personas más cercanas. Las evitamos, las posponemos y cuando ya no hay más opción que tener esa conversación, no nos entendemos o explotamos en amargas discusiones.
En este libro pretendemos alentar efectivamente a las personas a participar en conversaciones significativas para romper las barreras que los separan y aumentar la comprensión y la empatía entre sí. Cuando logramos conversar constructivamente los  temas difíciles de abordar, nuestras relaciones se fortalecen y crecen, y se afianza la intimidad emocional.
               

Let’s Talk is an invitation to address a topic that can determine the quality of all kinds of relationships: couples, parents and children, friends, coworkers…all of them. This book carries the powerful message of fear and resistance that comes from having difficult conversations, especially with those closest to you. We avoid them or we put them off, and when there is no choice but to have that conversation, we don’t understand each other or we explode into bitter arguments.
In this book, the authors aim to effectively encourage people to engage in meaningful “difficult” conversations in order to break down the barriers that separate them and increase understanding and empathy for one another. When we manage to talk constructively about difficult topics, our relationships are strengthened, they grow, and emotional intimacy is established.
